Eat. More. Sushi.

For a catering event the other evening, the café where I work ordered 125 pieces of sushi, which got lost in translation and arrived on the loading dock as 125 rolls of sushi.

Let's break this down: 125 rolls x 8 pieces per roll = more sushi than you ever want to see in your life.

Since this sort of miscommunication is one of the more costly culinary mishaps in terms of price point, not to mention sheer volume, management decided to try and unload the surplus speedily by proposing a contest to the servers--he/she who sold the most would be rewarded with a proportionate amount of sushi to take home.

The good news is...

I won by a landslide.

The bad news is...

I would not like to join you for sushi this weekend.
